Hi everyone, I need some advice. Currently, my processor is a 2000+ XP Palomino core, which is almost the worse CPU ever existed for AMD to overclock, I think. I had a friend who is currently using a 1700+ XP Thoroughbred core. He is not interested in overclocking and is willing to trade his CPU with mine. My question here is, how many different cores are there for the 1700+ cpu. Are there Rev A and Rev B like the 2100+? A lot of people claimed that they are able to overclock their 1700+ cpu to 2.4Mhz. I just want to make sure that this is the same chip that can do that. To the experience AMD overclockers out there, please advice. Thank you. My comp specs are as shown below.

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ Palomino Core
Asus A7V8X
Samsung 512MB PC2700
Albatron TI-4200 128MB

*Think of upgrading to the EVGA FX5900 128MB video card, only selling for $219 at newegg.com

1700+ athlon xp palomino
1700+ athlon xp t-bred 'a'
1700+ athlon xp t-bred 'b' 1.60v DUT3C
1700+ athlon xp t-bred 'b' 1.50v DLT3C

thank you for your info.

So, how far can i overclock the REV A version???
