I'm upgrading the system in my sig. The one modern game I play will not get a stable 60+fps and I'm looking into all my options.
Would going from h110 or ether q170 or C236 chip set CPU card give any performance increase ? Its a PICMG system is not all to simple to get higher end chip set cards.
I have a M.S ssd and 1 video card (only one 16x pcie slot on the backplane) I don't need more PCIE lanes or usb ports or raid.
My understanding is that that the higher end chip sets aren't faster but give more pcie lanes and things like raid and more usb ports. Is that right?
