Anyone using one of these? Dual PCI Intel 82546: Winyao WY546T2
My main interest is for a firewall. I'm using IPFire on a S754 Sempron 1.8Ghz/1GB DDR (curbside freebie).
100Mbit would be plenty (and that's all I currently use...) --BUT-- these have TCP offloading. I'm currently using 2x Realtek RTL-8100/8101L/8139 pci cards and I get high IRQ loads on the processor. Full gigabit out both ports isn't likely and really, can't anyhow.
