Hello all,
I recently upgraded my good old PC to:
- Asrock 970 extreme3
- AMD FX 4100
- Corsair XMS3 PC3-16000 (4x2GiB)

Unfortunately I cant get my RAM to work at normal speeds. Best I can get is 1333.
Setting higher speed in BIOS doesn't help. For example 1866 gives same results in CPU-Z.
Besides this after changing setting in BIOS to something other than "Auto" requires resetting my PC for 2 times prior I can get to BIOS and booting again.

I'm little bit out of ideas. Please advise.

In order to run 8GB at DDR3-1866 up to the modules rated DDR3-2000 you'll need to bump the NB voltage, and possibly the DRAM voltage from 1.65V to ~1.68-1.70V. You might also have to loosen the timings from the default of 9-9-9-24 to something along the lines of 9-10-9-27-2T, 10-9-9-28-2T, etc.
