One of our core speed based workstations has the Asus Prime H310-Plus motherboards coupled with an i7 8700 (non K).

I'm trying to lock the BCLK to the turbo speeds. For some reason the BCLK setting isn't showing up the the mobo BIOS. The max speed the CPU is goign to is 3.5Ghz. How do I go about setting it to 4.6Ghz full time?

H310 cannot overclock IIRC. Makes sense it doesn't have OC options.

If you can find a core ratio setting, use that to reach turbo speeds.

Also, I vaguely remember something about BCLK overclocking possible on locked CPUs, but after a certain BIOS revision, that wasn't possible. Hopefully someone else can speak to that.

Thanks ED. That makes sense. I need to get them to approve a threadripper build.

I spend nearly a third of the day waiting on the computer, so annoying.
