i have a dfi lanparty pro 875b rev.b and i have been getting rather high temps since i got it even with the sp-94 i put on it,
so yesterday i went looking through the dfi site and i stumbled upon an updated bios for my board that fixed 4 things
1. Fixed the bug that SATA HDD capacity be detected as 136G when installing Maxtor 250G, WD 250G, Seagate 160G.
2.Fixed the bug of being unable to detect speed of chassis FAN when using chassis fan with speed below 1400 RPM (Vantec Fan).
3.Fixed the bug that Memtest86 V.1.10 will detect different timing when manually setting CAS Latency of Corsair memory module.
4. To calibrate the temperature display.
so i got it and flashed my bios to this one and my temps have dropped from about 40°c at idle to about 31-32°c so these temps make alot more sense
so i recommend getting this new biosif you dont have it already.
i am not sure if this same problem is on the rev. A boards
oh yeah here is a link to the bios dl page for the mobo link
