Backing up your System Properties Logo

Does anyone know how to do this? I can replace it, but I would like to keep the existing logo for recovery if I need to...

We're talking about Win7/Win8? Can you just copy/rename it or does the registry link to it something?

Win 7 specifically. I could copy it, but I don't know where it is.
The OEM logo is usually in a .dll file. If I knew what file, I could back it up.
It may also have a registry link.

I actually found a simple .exe file that does the work for you:

I just used it and ran virus scan on it. It's kosher and is probably the easiest prog I've ever used. Includes option to restore to original file. Try it out.

If you want to do it yourself its shellbrd.dll found in c:\windows\branding\shellbrd and you need to change bitmaps 1050 2050 3050. Before replacing shellbrd.dll BACK IT UP just incase. Good luck

I think I also read that its 151x151 pixels.
