Why are you so determined to get 4 memory slots anyway?

Anywho, for your budget, I would consider going with a pentium g3258.

Here's a build that will let you play without any lag

with this gpu

THAT would be a system I would enjoy playing on, and its very close to your 600$ budget.

I'd run an FX-6300 over that Pentium any day of the week. Especially since the OP has no interest in OCing.

Also, four memory slots is very standard for an ATX motherboard.

Im very aware ATX motherboards are pretty standard with 4 slots. I asked him why he was so concerned with that number.

edit: darn it, posts are all over the place with this... I read he didn't want to overclock the GPU, then later he mentions the mobo not having overclocking ability.

@ op, any particular reason you're against overclocking? Is it simply cost for a "good" motherboard?

edit 2: Go look at benchmarks for FPS's with the g3258... Kind of staggering honestly.

I do the same thing on my builds. Get the most feature rich MB I can afford for room to grow. If I only get two sticks of RAM today, and I want to upgrade tomorrow, four slots let me do that without tossing the old RAM. I like it. I think he's on the right track to keeping costs down today and build in some future enhancements.
