I ordered for my company 10x AMD XP2500+ Boxed! with Abit NF-S

as a real OC I will test each and will post here how it worked out!

ok I got 9 of my babies!

the boxed cooler doesbt look like a powerhouse but I will see

it a xp 2500+ boxed

axda2500dkv4d
aquca0304rpaw

so lets see what i can get!

the mb are abit nf7-s r1.2

ram is pc3200 cas2.5

i didnt used any thermal grease just the pad & cooler out of the box!

now at 2.0 idle at 46C
now at 2.4 (1.75) at 54C

for testing i use no case and a 550w gold ps

btw the abit nf7 unlocks ALL multiplier no mod needed!

with a small voltage tweak 1.75V (=1.72v) (this board is a final blow to all hardmod voltage tweaker)
boot with 12*200 = 2400

shows a wimpy xp2400 at bios quite a understatement!

ok lets setup a xp@2400!

ide is wd 120g ata 8mb
cdrom is a dvd+rw (have no normal cd here)

btw 2400 is XP3400+ ??

**** my 550w ps has no on/off switch (but colorless fans and gold case )

I odered 10x midi tower with 300W is this enough or should I get 400W midi towers?

its a linkworld CASE MIDITOWER 219-C.08 ATX 300W

how can I check out the power supply?

I found a 300W linkworld PS

Model: LPH6-300WP (dont know if its the same)
+3,3V 15A
+5V 32A
-5V 0,5A
+12V 12A
-12V 0,8A
+5VSB 2,0A

is this enough for Barton 2.3G?

all pcs have nf7 512mb 40g hdd cd

I use a 360W chieftec PSU and it powers my rig just fine at 2.95 GHz and 2.18 Vcore, so a good 300W PSU should be OK. If the extra cost isnt too big i'd go for 350-400W though. keep us posted :)

You should get a good cooler and put it on each one you test. Something like a slk800 or maybe the 900.

Those temp are probably going to get out of hand unless you use some as3 or a better cooler or try burning the cpu in first.

Btw no need to double post you can use the edit button down @ the bottom right.
