Yes you got that exactly right, sys just got very fit with no grey page delay....so we know its one of the processes running at boot BUT WHICH ONE?
I leave all MS startup options but reboot is loosing me my netconnection.
How can I determine what file in the boot process is causing the grey screen?
To get back on the net I had to reboot under normal again.
Is there a file or setting I can use that will alllow a net connection and yet load only default files and leave out the added unwanted grey screen file?
it will tell you which programs you yourself installed that are running at every system boot so you can see if there's something in there you installed that needs to go.
Thanks a lot.....just realised dont mess with too techy an issue, scrapped Hdrive bought an SSD installed XP at cost, but at least I gained best pc performance to date, dont regret this upgrade.
