New here and new to water cooling. Embarrassingly, overtightening a stand off on the EK cooling block for a GTX580, I broke it, and some of it of course stuck inside the block.

The card has 12 stand offs, and this particular one sits close to three others at one of corners of the block. I can still get the remainder of the stand off to stay in the thread, but it won't hold tight of course.

I tried using a screwdriver to remove it, but to no avail.

What would you recommend I do?

1. Get a Grabit remover and try removing the stand off. This would take a couple of weeks to get as I can't seem to find them in Europe. Then replace it.

2. Set it as is, measure the temperature and see how well it works.

3. Set the remainder with loctite or similar, try it, measure the temperature and see how well it works.

Thank you for replying. Yes, better to just get on with it and see how it performs.
