I got my 5820K in hand so now I'm looking at DDR4 options in the 16GB 2133 range.

I'm noticing a wide variety of CL though, something I'm not to confident about in my knowledge.
As far as I understand Lower CL is faster operation at the same memory frequency right?

I've found a few kits,(4x4gb)
corsair vengeance LPX kit with CL13(140$)
a Kingston HyperX FURY with CL14(160$)
Red G.Skill Ripjaws kit with CL15 (135$)
GSkill Value CL15(120$)
Crucial value CL15(115$)

The corsair kit is the lowest CL, and the price point is really interesting, but does Cas Latency matter much when it comes to gaming and video editing/rendering?
My current system is running 12GB DDR3 CL11 at 1941mhz(OC). Would it be wise to try to keep the CL as low as possible at this memory speed range?

Or is it non consequential CL13 vs 14 vs 15

What about overclocking the ram for CPU OCing?

Can anyone bring me up to speed?

The lower the CAS latency the faster it is, but ultimately you will be hard pressed to notice any major performance difference outside of benchmarks.
