Does anybody possess or have acesss to ANY machine with a Celeron D processor in it? This is the prescott celeron with 256k of L2 cashe. Could you please run the Prime95 benchmark test on it and post the results here? If possible, could you also state the RAM configuration as well.
Thanks

Prime95 can be acquired here:

http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm

Get the .zip package, unzip, and execute prime95.exe. When it comes up hit "just stress testing", options -> Benchmark and let it do its thing. The results will be written in results.txt file.

You want that @stock speeds?? I have my Celeron D 2.66(which I'm about to sell) running @3.3mhz

Stock speed is 2.4GHz which I found useless to bench.

Thank you for posting results. Apparently the extra cashe of the Celeron D really helps Prime95 timings.

I'm also surprised that those timing hold so close to a Prescott P4:

Results for one chip is in, does anybody else have access to a Celeron D?
