Hi Guys,

just wondering if anyone knows how i can work this out.

I have a number of quick connect couplers that fit 10m ID 13mm OD

And i have a ton of compression & barb fittings that are 13mm ID 16mm OD

I have to decide whether to buy extra couplers to fit the 13/16 or extra fittings to fit the 10/13.

The couplers are about 4 x the price of the fittings so i would prefer to buy the fittings.

So i want to know how to calculate the difference in cooling capacity difference between using 10/13 tubing and the 13/16 in order to decide which to buy.

The system is pretty small, probably 6ft of tubing Max

I have an XSPC varispeed D5 pump, and a 2x140mm Rad. System is only cooling the CPU

I'm assuming I will be able to get a higher flow rate from the 10/13 but a larger volume of water over the CPU at any given time with the 13/16 But i dont know how to calculate which will be the most effective.

Can someone help me out with a formula to calcuate? Or is it a no brainer and its simply the larger tubing?

Thanks in Advance.

It makes no difference what so ever. Buy what you are comfortable working with.
