Well, I can't say I disagree, but ultimately its the software designers that decide how rediculously much computational power is actually USABLE by us, lol.

I used to design video games, mostly for consoles, and I can tell you that game designers (and programmers) NEVER have enough power to do what they want. It's the nature of the beast. Never enough polys, memory, frame rate, etc.

At one company I worked for, we had a huge refrigerator-sized SGI system (that cost something like $1 million) used for military simulators. Naturally I played Quake on it.
