Core i7 3850 (crashes anytime BLCK is moved)

System is in the sig. Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 mobo. 2011 socket.
In BIOS the multiplier is unlocked to 43, so I had no problems moving that to its max. At 4.3ghz, all stress tests pass etc, max temp under duress is approx 65C. Whenever I try to adjust the BLCK to overclock further my system wont boot until the BIOS resets itself.

Any suggestions?

If you haven't already, flash to the latest F3p beta BIOS.

The 3820 is not unlocked so you might be at max multiplier, change BCLK to 125 and lower multiplier to 37 that will give you 4.6. Just play with voltages as necessary to get stable OC. I think I run mine @119.2x42 @5GHZ
