Just as the title says should i just buy the DEEPCOOL Gamer Storm CAPTAIN 360EX RGB WHITE for my all white build or is there someone that knows how much a custom loop with all the parts AM4 CPU block, fittings, reservior (Helix preff), pump, and 1 240, or 1 360 radiator would be. Im trying to keep it all white and wouldnt mind learning how to build a loop and want it to be white and look Pretty and if possiable to keep it at $200, I will be mounting it in a Thermaltake p3 White and a ryzen7-1800x on a MSI Titanium X370 mobo. Undecided on the GPU as of yet but will be running the RX750M White with Sleeved White Cables

and explain how you use the tubes that are stiff clear vs the tubing that comes with kits that looks floppy. I know nothing about custom loops and would love to learn.

I will be honest to build a custom loop that looks good in white and will be based on hard tubing is going to be at least twice your $200 budget if not more. $200 will get you into the custom water cooling field using budget parts and soft tubing only. If you really do not want to extend the budget beyond $200 dollars I would say go with the AIO. If you have a little breathing room on the budget you can probably get into a decent wate cooling setup in white but would probably want to stay with soft tubing over hard tubing due to the price. The good soft tubing is not really "floppy" as you put it.

What are your goals ? Max cooling ? low noise ? Do you want it flashy looking or sleek and hardly seen ? Your 1800x wont benefit a great deal ( in max oc ) with water vs high end air .
What do you want to cool ? CPU and GPU ?
In your budget USED would be your only option ( and with used DIY some times needs to come into play ) Nice fans alone can run 40$ each =) Not to say you couldn't grab a Nice Rez/pump combo and a block for that price and use a Old heater core ( or car rad) for the time being till you save for a "better" rad .
Are you in the US ?
Hard tubing need to be bent to fit in your case from fitting to fitting ( think heat gun to make soft then bend as needed) . Soft tubing is much easier to work with ( and barb fittings can be cheaper vs compression) and comes in many colors ( do this vs using Dye in the water ) .

With a custom you can build off it over time "most" AIO's you are stuck with that config . I have had some of the same water cooling parts for 13+years now so it can be big cost up front but should last a long time .

Spend some time on youtube there are many vids that will give you a good idea of what you are getting into here is just one example

300 looks like a crazy deal for this gear

You won't be able to do an equivalent custom loop for $200. I think the learning experience of building a custom loop is valuable but you can't do it on that budget and still come up with something that will meet your cooling needs as well as a good AIO.

AM4 is pretty limited to 4.0-4.1ghz anyway. Not much to be gained performance wise with a loop. Aesthetics are huge, but if thats "worth it" for you, the results are undeniable as long as you do it right.

To be fair, used parts make a pretty compelling value. A good pump is gonna be the pricey part.

Not a bad setup but that pump would need a type on it. You could substitute a phony pump for about the same price but would lose some head pressure.

sonofabiskit! i cant believe i did that! nice catch man. well i found this top from barrow for $20 so still pretty darn close to 2 bills. it looks pretty sweet to.
https://www.amazon.com/Barrow-DDC-B...&qid=1515209673&sr=8-12&keywords=ddc+pump+top
buuut with the added $20 may as well go with a mcp50x for $70
https://www.amazon.com/Swiftech-MCP...=UTF8&qid=1515209836&sr=8-3&keywords=ddc+pump

i saw the pump im thinking your talking about. looks just like the mcp50x or the 35x? cant remember which. i thought about using that but wanted to try and go with a genuine laing... just forgot the top!

this is what i had initially started with
https://www.amazon.com/BXQINLENX-DC...r=8-18-spons&keywords=watercooling+pump&psc=1
but i just couldnt do it.
heres another cheapie

Yep, a waste of time and money. I have a Corsair H100 I use on my 1700X only because I got it free as a throw in when I purchased a CPU/Mobo/RAM combo on ebay. It keeps the CPU cooler, but still didn't get past 4 GHz.

That barrow top looks halfway decent but yea at that price range I would go with the mcp50x. Here is the pump I was thinking of. I ran one for awhile without any major issues.

I would not touch either of those other pumps with a ten got pole though.

Mentioned Deepcool AIO is really good and looks good. Even smaller rad like 240/280 is good enough for Ryzen and larger one won't really help. I wouldn't waste money on custom loop as performance won't be much better ( if it will be better ) while good custom loop costs more than AIO. If you want custom loop then make it right or you won't be happy later and will waste even more money.
Hard tubes are total pain. If you are advanced in this topic then it's not a bad idea but if you want to build one loop and use it for longer, and you've never made one before then you won't do that right in first try ... probably not in second or third ... so +money and a lot of time wasted.
