detonator driver issues, need help....

i have abit at7 with geforce 3 ti200 and have all available drivers for this card. (27. through 30.) why is when i use any of 29. or higher, my dvd playback stinks. basically, no video, just a bunch of artifacts. but, everything else is ok. ( i think...) if i use 28.90 or less everything works fine. any clues. i do get about 100 more points in 3dmark with 29. drivers but like i said, crappy dvd playback.

What DVD software are you using to play the DVD's? And what OS are you running?

power dvd 3.0 with xp patch

There are a couple of dvd patches through the windows update site. Maybe that would fix your problem. Worth a shot if you havent tried that already.
