I got a celeron 566 for oc. flashed the mb as per instructions shows the correct bios rev on boot up, allows the 566 to function but has caused fatal error screen to pop up. Not oc now just trying to get system fully operational.
There is a conflict with the sound card when I take it out no problem. When in problem. Checked control panel nothing indicates conflict.
system CELERON 566
sound blaster live x-gamer
3d blaster riva tnt2 ultra

take out the soundblaster and put it in an other pci-slot (if you haven't
tried it )

it might solve your problem !!

Tried it in every slot no diff. Since then have re flashed
changed the int. in the bios nothing worked so far.
It doesn't show conflict when sound card in but sound blaster live shares int. with usb universal host controller. Won't allow change to usb int.
Forgot to say it is an abit bx6-2 mb.

have you tried shutting down the usb in the bios ????
it's not possible to (manually) set the irq to a
different position ??

forgot something;

shut down the usb controller in Windows.
that should work
