I was wondering about monitors, and given that I could not find the information I wanted in the Stickys, I decided to make this thread. Just want to know a couple of good monitors for each range.

Ranges-
1080p 60htz
1080p 120/144 htz
1440p 60htz
1440p 120/144htz
1600p 60htz
1600p 120/144htz
and so on.

Please forgive me if I said something stupid, I know nothing about monitors.
Thank you for your time, looking forward to your responses.

Cheers.

This thread is just out of curiosity. Currently a gtx 760 by EVGA, but may upgrade in the next 5 months to a gtx 770 or 780 (depends on new card releases as well). But it is not oriented to me personally, just want to learn and know in case I upgrade or someone asks me. Truth be told I was bored and wanted something to do.

If, in addition to your preferred monitor you could include a suitable GPU to take advantage of it that would be awesome. By gaming I also mean heavy games like crysis or battlefield.

1080p go 760/770 or 7950.
1440p/1600p go 780 or 7970.

Individual monitors depend on what the person needs. There's so many variables for size/screen type/backlight/aesthetics etc.
