anybody have any feedback on this board? i tried searching but it seems info is slim...found one rating on newegg about oc'ing and the guy who wrote it really didnt seem like he knew what he was talking about.

i guess theoretically this should be the same as the similar model(with MA in the model) just with sata 6 and usb 3. but who knows....basically im looking to buy a phenom 2 955 and looking to get around 4ghz on air. from what i read this board should have ACC aswell. what im looking to purchase:

board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128416

cpu c3 955: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808

ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...277&cm_re=ddr3_ripjaws-_-20-231-277-_-Product

sink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835207004

basically the plan is to run with these guts for awhile(maybe upgrade when amd 32nm comes out) and upgrading to a fermi when they come out....

Like you, I'd guess the board choice would be the same as the 790XT-UD4, which is a very good OC'ing board.

I would pick different RAM though, unless most of what you want to run is video encoding or huge Photoshop/CAD files. CL9 is pretty high latency, which isn't good for most programs and definitely not good for games. Better to run DDR3-1333CL7 or, if you can afford it, DDR3-1600CL7 ...

funny thing is i got impatient and ordered everything anyways haha. at the last minute i did change my mind on the ram and went with these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231278

i think they're pretty much the same as the ripjaws you linked just with dif settings and .05v dif. so i should be able to pump some more volts into em and tighten the timings...guess its gonna all depend on the oc. and also the samsung sj3 was out so i went with a wd 1tb black...but everything else i ordered as i linked...so when i get everything and get it up and running ill report back.

i guess one other thing that came up that might of worry is the available pci-e lanes for sata 6gb. im pretty sure this board will still be fine given im only a single card gpu type of guy....just waiting out the almighty fermi :D

Glock, I think you will be happy with the board. Solid O.C.er with pretty much everything you need in the bios.
