I am looking into getting a new motherboard and I will probably be purchasing one of these CPUs

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a motherboard with good core unlocking software? My price range is around $150. I don't really care about crossfire support as I have not heard a whole lot of good things about xfire and would prefer am3+ compatible so I don't have to upgrade again down the line.

By the way, core unlocking isn't done with software, its done with certain bios settings.

Your post would be more helpful if you told us a dollar amount you would be willing to part with for the board.

ah, I wasn't really sure what to call it, it comes packaged with the motherboard and isn't hardware so I went with software. Now I know!

I get the impression you're very new to all this.

BIOS="basic input-output system". When the computer first turns on and as soon as you see stuff start to display or "post" on the monitor, you push a certain key like the Delete key or the F2 key (the post information will tell you which one to press) it will take you into the bios. This is the place where you can make adjustments to parameters that control how your computer operates and performs.

Many or most newer motherboards with AM3+ sockets have core unlocking ability these days and I do not know that one is better than another in that regard. It would be helpful to know the price range you have in mind. You might look at this one, though I wish it had more reviews to go on:
