Hmm.. I played Toca 1 and 2 on PSX, i wish they could remake those with newer graphics Such insane good racing.

I'll wait and see the reviews.

That's basically what they're doing. They pulled the TOCA game engine, did some tweaks, gave it new content/graphics, and more.
Take a stroll through their blog, it explains what they did VERY well.

This was really a full-disclosure release. From announcement they've been very open about what they're doing, why they're doing it, and even some insight on how.

Love me some Grid2... so this should be interesting...

The gameplay I've seen blows Grid 1/2 out of the water.

Amazing. Simply amazing.
I drove until I hurt on it last night.

Hows the feeling? Arcade? Sim? From what i have read, its still More arcade than Sim.

It is in-between arcade and sim.
Just enough sim to make hardcore racers enjoy it, with enough arcade to make it a bit less daunting.

If I didn't know this was Grid, I would have swore up and down this was TOCA 4. It is amazing. Turn off all assits, set the length race to 5x. It is going to take me awhile to beat.

I can't attach pictures because they are too big. 8015x1440 is kinda huge.

Career race. I only race from the hood cam because the interior is really messed up when spanning three screens.

I also found the best way to drive the Dallara.

I got the game now, still havent even played, i started off testing graphics bench. Its looking like a great game.

All tests are run in 1200p 14.6beta driver

First i ran the bench with the "stock" ultra settings that the game loaded with.
2x 7970ghz
fps_race min_fps="77.724243"
max_fps="159.865250"
av_fps="108.020828"

3x 7970ghz same settings
min_fps="83.377991"
max_fps="166.087555"
av_fps="111.772171"

Happy to finally have a game where i can actually see that tri-fire adds a tiny boost, only visible really by numbers, but visible.

Then i ran a test with all settings turned to highest possible setting with everything on that can be turned on.

3x 7970ghz
min_fps="78.101440"
max_fps="124.214241"
av_fps="98.189011"

This saw an fps drop, i did not notice the drop, because i was too busy loving the graphics.

Now i am going to go eyefinity, run a few test, then i think i'll give the game ago with 360 controller.

Hopefully you see better scaling at your higher resolution. THAT I would be more interested in seeing as opposed to something that is essentially more CPU limited with 1200p and 3x 7970's. ;)

I just ran 2 tests in eyefinity. 5760x1200

First i ran stock ultra. 3x 7970ghz
min_fps="73.230919"
max_fps="115.935539"
av_fps="94.826828"

Then i ran everything on highest possible settings and extras turned on.
3x 7970ghz
min_fps="69.643936"
max_fps="106.451881"
av_fps="83.521866"

EDIT:

Test with 2x 7970Ghz

Stock Ultra setting.
min_fps="54.158276"
max_fps="82.663528"
av_fps="68.245636"

Everything set highest possible. 2x 7970ghz
min_fps="53.345810"
max_fps="78.268677"
av_fps="65.160751"
