have amd980 w seasonic 520w

now getting 8350 w 990fxsabertooth
psu ran fine with 980
will this be adequate still

Should be fine for any single GPU config.

Not a problem.
Only potential issue would be if you OC the balls off the 8350 and get a top end GPU. With that GPU I don't think you could hit PSU OCP if you tried.
