I have this motherboard with an Amd k6-2 500 mhz processor. well in the manual for the mobo it only lists jumper settings for a 350 mhz processor. Is there any way i can set the jumpers so it will recognize the 500mhz processor, or maybe even overclock it? Here is a link to the manual http://www.e4allinc.info/dir1/motherboards/socket7/delhi3.htm

it talks vaguely about the amd k6-2 processors but doesn't list the jumper settings........

all help would greatly be appreciated......

They have a PDF manual here, http://www.motherboards.org/manuals/p/Trigem-Delhi III/4415.html

It lists all of the jumper and FSB setting so you can set it to 5x100.

According to this site, http://compatlist.k6plus.com/ ,
exist for 5.5x multiplier (J11=1-2, J12=1-2, J13=2-3)

And finally, if you should run across a K6-2+ mobile CPU, there is a patched BIOS that supports them here, http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/k6plus.htm#patched

With a little extra voltage and decent cooling, 550 should be within reach. If you want to try for 600, set the multiplier to 2. A K6-2 will multiply the bus by 6 if the motherboard is set at 2. But that would be pushing it for a 500.

Removing the heatshield might help, but the core is easily damaged if it is decapped.

And welcome to the forum!
