I am looking at purchasing water cooling for my CPU and this is my first time using water cooling instead of air cooling. I have been doing some research online and i have no idea what i am looking at or what i should be looking at. Anyone have any suggestions or can guide me in the right direction for a good quality, reliable and efficient water cooler for under 200 bucks ( if that is possible). Let me know so i can look up the suggestions and make my decision. Thanks in advance.

We have a sticky section up top to help you get you started but from the looks of it, I think you're too far away to even start thinking of purchasing custom liquid cooling, especially at that price point for a premium CPU kit.

I believe a sealed AIO (All In One) liquid cooler that doesn't need any maintenance what so ever and a set and forget should do you justice.

Have a look at Corsair's and NZXT's AIO liquid cooling lines but first, we need more information about your whole PC including CPU (OC?), case used, etc. before we get started to which AIO cooler we would recommend you for.

If you're still set on going full blown custom, let us know so we know where you're at.

CPu is i7-7700k not OC and the Case is a roswil Nitehawk 117 Full tower.

After doing some searches, it looks like this case can handle a 280mm AIO up top. Now I'm not sure if the MB will get in the way as couldn't find any clearance info on that. I would look around and see what other's have done with this case to see if you're able to snag either a Corsair H115i Pro or NZXT Kraken X62 and both fit in your budget nicely, even giving you some OC room if you ever choose to. Just make sure the case's top vents are open.

So i looked all over the internet and cannot find any information on weather or not those will work with the Rosewill 117 Nighthawk. Not sure where to look now. I need to see if i can front mount it or if i have to do it at the top.

I am just worried that those kits won't work for the case. I just don't want to have to cut into the case at all.

from the newegg specs you can run a 280 up top. check the mounting holes and see if they are offset to the windowed side of your case. if it is youll be able to use exhaust fans along with the rad. if not you probably wont be able to fit any fans.

to run one in front you would have to remove the bottom 2 sets of ssd/hdd caddies. if you dont need them its easy to drill out rivets.

so either way i have to modify my case? Since this is something i have never done before is install liquid cooling i dont want to do any cutting or modifying to my case. Is there an easier alternative to case modifications? or am i just SOL on that? Please respond back to me asap thanks!

it depends on what you need and what kind of room you have up top. youll have to measure the amount of space there is from the top of your mb to the top of your case and then compare to the size of your rad and fans combined. if that isnt going to work you have the option of drilling out the hdd caddies ORRR you can mount the rad externally off the back of your case with something like these
im going with the xspx option personally but they are all good choices.

it looks like you could run a thin 30mm radiator up top with 25mm fans but i cant say for certain.
