How do I kill an 'access denied' process?

The thing that I don't understand is how the permissions are set for this...

Permissions of the services are specified in Registry by binary value under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\<your service>\Security

If you have a process that is Undead and cant be killed you should try http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/index.php

Okay so...the subject was relative to my google search. And the thread made me laugh out loud at the advertising bumps. And regardless of how legitimately I wanna figure out what this guy wanted to learn to do....its just too funny NOT to drop in and say "bump"

Even Microsoft can't help - take a look at some of the comments on that page.

I had exactly the same problem, process hacker didn't work, command line kills didn't work etc etc. It is a problem with windows, something has become corrupt.

The only way I could find to fix it, was to perform a system restore.
