How important is it to ground the mobo/psu/case?

Is it all that important? I'm working on a briefcase mod and of course the whole briefcase is plastic..

I know the PSU will be grounded by the 3rd prong to the outlet (correct?) but do I have to take precautions for the mobo? I actually have it on a hacked up tray that sits in the bottom of the briefcase.

hmm

If you are using a non-conductive case (like you are now) you dont need a ground. You only need one if you are using a case that might cause a short if components touch it. I didnt need one for my Project Baltic (shameless self plug, see the thread if interested) :p
