how much ram to use?

Ok, I'm building my first build just now. I am going to be using a Asus M5A78L/USB3 Motherboard (Socket AM3+, DDR3, 5200MT/S, ATX). Theres a good deal just now on ddr3 ram sticks (4gb), my motherboard capacity is 16gb, should i just go ahead and get 4 of them? The reason i ask is because I'm not even sure if this motherboard has 4 slots. It looks like it, but I'm not sure. I'm a complete novice at this as you can tell lol
