Thanks for the reply shiltz, I have heard the Mag 3 is a good pump, but not the quietest. I'll probably pass on it.

So does anyone have the L35? It's a bit cheaper than the Eheim, but is it quiet? It seems like the L25/30 has been pretty buggy, and the L35 is a good step forward, but if I'm going to buy a pump, I'd like to know it'll last.

Update on my faulty Mag #3....
I spoke to customer service at Danner directly, and the lady honestly sounded incredulous that a Mag #3 had quit in less than a week?

"Honestly, the bigger pumps like the 3200, we have problems....but never the smaller pumps."

Anyway, she told me to put the sales receipt & 5 bux handling in the box and they would send me a new one if they can't repair mine.
So, sounds good to me. I'll definitely give them another shot.
