well I was told that using software was harder then using a router to share a internet connection!! and the router will give each comp a separate IP addy
Seeing as how I got the 2wire homelink on it's way I'll wait for that , but for now I'll just trying to get the puters to see each other, which they do but when I try to log into the win2000 puter from the xp it ask me for a password!!
why does't the win2000 ask me for one?? I've tried to disable any passwords I could find
my win2000 is named Charlie (for my son) and I can see it in the home network but it ask for a password to access it,
I've got no problem at all accessing the xp puter although the connecton status says 100mps is seems awful slow
I'll go double check everything again.
