I Think I Have Potential, is it limited to my cooling?

Hey Super noob here. I am probably just going to be asking the same question lots of others have so if the answer is out there please just point me to it.

I think what i have here is awesome so please don't bag it.

Apevia X-Jupiter G-type case
p8z68 v pro MOBO
Core i7 2600 k
16GB Rip Jaws
Quadro 4000
Crucial 64GB SSD
Twin 750GB HDD
750w Power Supply

I am thinking about buying a cooler master v6gt cooler to do some overclocking.
Would this be a good choice? What kind of speeds could i go to safely? would another cooler let me do more?

I think the V6 is an older cooler. The hyper 212+ is not the greatest sink for SB but its enough to take you to 4.5Ghz or further. Of course the top end noctura should let you go all the way to the limit of the CPU.
