Ive been Watching this forum for years. Since back when i was trying to OC my q6600 lol. never got it past 3.0 stable. (i digres)
Im building a new rig for Chrome tabs. My Home Job requires me to open 100 chrome tabs at a time in AllClients. I would also like to do Lightroom and Photoshop editing. Maybe in the future even light video editing. My 2012 macbook just cant keep up.
MY QUESTION>>>>
If i want to overclock for performance, which combo would be better. i5 6600k or xeon E5-1650. Price is a big deal in this build but it looks like these two plus the boards are about the same.
I dont need the best gaming performance so clock speed dosnt need to be past 4. What do you guys think? Play with the 6 core xeon or go with the newer probably easier i5.
