Finally took off the training wheels for DFI UT X58-T3EH8 after having the motherboard for past 7 days, I'm starting to get the hang of things.

My first Super Pi 32M bench at sub 8min with Core i7 3836A756 on Thermalright Ultra 120 air cooling!

Had to turn off Hyperthreading to reduce the heat output and had to go back to dual channel kit, 2x1GB Corsair DDR3-2133C9DF Dominators as it's only memory I have capable of up to DDR3-2200Mhz Super Pi 32M stable.

With HT off, load temps were around 74-86C. Powermate wattage meter read ~290 watts idle and 305 watts load for Super Pi. I tried running Everest benchmark report (all tests) and measured ~530 watts load drawn from the wall but system rebooted @4610Mhz!

For comparisons sake, at 20x133 = 2.666Ghz stock, Powermate wattage meter reads around 125 watts idle with FX5200 PCI video card installed.

Room temp = 24.5C

@4554Mhz

First 32M run 21x217BCLK - so close to sub 8min!

@4610Mhz

I nearly managed to boot into windows to take screen shot at 21x221 = 4638Mhz, but guess either heat or BCLK ceiling was being reached. So settled for 21x220 = 4610Mhz :)

Nice buddy!!! I'm kind of stuck @ a BCLK of 180. I haven't changed any voltages yet, too scared to go too much. I know I've got plenty of cooling for my setup, due to me playing with watercooling this time.

I've also got a I7 920, my board is an Asus Rampage 2. What voltages should I adjust to at least get 4Ghz out of mine? All my voltages are in their stock setting. Same with my other settings, except the BCLK.

damn eva that's nice!! :beer:

wonder what it would do with a bit of wcing... for that matter better go big with some LN2!! :eek:

Just a question. . . 1.60V VCore?? Isn't that a little high??

Z

you are a brave man with 1.6V Vcore.

you almost have 400MHz on me, very nice, but 1.6 i am a little sky of right now.
Sticking to my humble 1.408V
