Hi there,

I've been browsing around the forums as I am looking for a watercooling kit.

My PC spec is:

HAF392 case
asus p6t-se mobo
12gb ddr3 1600mhz ram (8-8-8-24)
i7 950
2x hd5850
Titan Fenrir CPU cooler.

I had an i7 920 at 4Ghz in this setup for the last 4 years but it died and got replaced with a 950.

My current idle temp is 30-40 deg C with the titan fenrir at stock speeds (3ghz) idle. (ambient room temp is around 26 degrees C)

I'm looking to re-overclock this chip but don't want to with the current temps.

I'm in the UK, so UK / Europe parts only.

I've been looking in places like here: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/cat/360--420mm-Complete-Sets_65.html (sets around £200)

OCUK: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=962&catid=1532

And Aquatuning only seems to really have Alphacool / Phyoba kits: http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/water-cooling/kits-und-systems/

My budget for the minute is around £200, but i can afford more radiators after christmas.

Thanks, and hi all :D

What are your current load temps? That is what is important...

I just reviewed the EK KIT X240 and it worked VERY well.. Its pricey, but its a custom kit in a box.

EDIT: That is over budget... why not a simple AIO like the Corsair H100i or the new Swiftech kit? (unless you want custom and want to expand...)

Current load is 68/70 Deg C with room temp of 26 deg.

I looked at things such as the H100i and while initially the idea seemed good, i'm happy to spend twice the amount to start on some water cooling, then expand in the future. Im looking to replace the HD5850's soon as they are a bit dated and a newer single card would outperform them, with customising the WC an option, i could then add the card into the loop. (Looking at the higher end AMD R9's)

I could stretch to the EK set, but would probably go for the 360 rad as its not much extra in the price. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ek-kit-x360-water-cooling-kit - SCAN £284

And while the H220-X looks nice and very promising, it's still gonna cost me nearly £150 to get it to my door, making a custom loop seem better in the long run.

I've spent a few thousand on this pc in the last 5 years, so i'm happy to have to spend a bit now to get some more life out of it before i need to start over on components :p

Also, thanks for a quick reply.

:welcome: to OCFs.

Keep your options open to the XSPC 750 kits but if you could stretch the budget a bit, I would advise going with the better D5 pump version. All you do is add more rad down the road once you add the GPU to the loop.
