I845E chipset cooler

I noticed after O/Cing my P4 2.53 to 3gig my chipset was HOT, i removed it's heatsink, and found a thermal pad on it, with cheep thermal grease on it! So I removed the cheep pad AND cheep grease and applied some AS3 after lapping, seems to have helped a bit. This was on the Abit IT7-MAX2.
