its a shame though that a new browser is that poor at the acid2 test, i was hoping it would be as impressive as safari or opera on it.

Could someone point me in the direction of an explanation of what exactly is happening in that test?

Also how is the transparent PNG support on the browser as this was an area which required much improvement

I find that the PNG support is excellent. I use PNGs on some of my pages and I am very happy with how they display the transparants.
