I got the core runing at 325mhz but i got a score in 3dmark 2001 smaller then i got when using 300mhz, how is that posible

The memory is Hynyx@ 5ns and no heatsink on it; I pushed it to 500mhz but i had artefacts
. If i would put a heatsink on the ram would the the ram work properly at 500mhz

The card has 64bits
so I need to squeze every litlle increase in mhz to play the latest games decently.
