i'm getting ready for another build...should i just build an integrated graphics "starter" still i can manage to get a decent card at a decent price? i feel like this question shouldn't even be asked but i gotta start somewhere

Your 1660ti should work. If it has an updated bios, update it and give it a go. Integrated won't take you too far.
