I am in need of at least a quad core CPU and a motherboard for gaming, anyone have any hand me down stuff they're not using anymore and upgraded out of?

With the price of new components I don't understand why you wouldn't just want to build one up from scratch!

I'm at $600.00 for a small gaming computer (excluding monitor) and all it needs is a 200.00 video card and it'll be flying through the games! Thats cheap stuff.
