this will bring my total with tax to a bit over $1400

ill buy my own 2gb of ram for $45 AR
and when i call in, im very tempted to upgrade to the 2ghz chip for another $175..or incase they dont wanna let me downgrade the ram, ill tell them if they do, ill up the cpu. also im thinking about getting a 7200rpm drive, is it really worth the extra cash? ill deffinetly be doing some encoding and what not, gaming, multi tasking..

what are everyones thoughts!?

Looks good. The hdd really depends. If you are going to use it on long trips or periods of time running on a battery, you are going to want the lower speed to increase battery life, but you may spend that added time waiting for things to load . I say go for that. I also say go for the faster cpu, will help with encoding and some games. And while you are at it sign me up for one.

If possible get no ram in that machine. SD has a some nice deals on laptop ram lately. ( i am sure you already know this)

Go for the upgrade d94. You know you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't.

I'm gonna go all out and get a 2.4 MBP, so don't feel bad with spending a little more.

I would go with the cheapest. I mean it will for sure be fast! And in 6months time, head onto newegg and buy the T7300 !

how are you getting the m1330 next week!?! my eta isnt for another month and a half .. - your in the US right?!

btw this 8400 is supposed to be better than the 7600gt - which is actually what my 17" everex had..and that gamed decently, considering this is a lower rez screen, it should do just fine!
