Hey Everyone,
I'm in the middle of installing a used koolance 6990 water cooler onto a XFX 6990. When I got the Koolance block, it had some grey thermal pad on it. I can't tell if its .5mm or 1mm. I looked at the manual https://koolance.com/files/products/manuals/manual_vid-ar699_d100eng.pdf
and it says the grey is 0.5 while white is 1mm.
I've got limited thermal pad, 0.5 & 1mm. I tried putting some .5mm on one area and I put it all back together.... then took it apart. There's a slight indentation into the thermal pad I put on it... but it looks thinner than whats already on the water block. it's driving me crazy! lol
Does anyone know definitively the thermal pad thickness required? Or any help?
Thanks!
