Let the magic smoke out - AMD RAM recommendations?

Well I killed a stick of Samsung TCC4 today. Fortunately it was free to me.

I plan to use the other stick on a build for a friend. Also free.

What I am looking for is some dual channel RAM. Has to be DDR. Presently I am using a Socket A MSI board. Plan temporary upgrade to Epox 8RDA3+PRO if I can ever get it to POST. Longer term plan is Socket 939.

Any suggestions?
