Loads of DDR2 kit and a E8400

Hi i know this is an old post but would like a bit more help here if pos..Ok i have a E8400 CPU with SLAPL on it(what stepping is it) which iv worked out is a Wolfdale,were as im using a Conroe atm on my mobo, I have two 775 socket mobos but the cpu wont run in either of them,cpu stepping is C0 going by above lettering,Cpuid on this mobo says the E2220 is stepping D.mobo info is an Acer MRS600M,cpuid says.=Acer MRS600M..chipset=ATI..southbridge=ATI-SB600..YR 2007,,should this mobo be able to run the E8400? cus im thinking i might of been sold a duff cpu?
