I am very out of the loop with computers but I think it’s time to move out of my old 2500k setup. I have everything else picked out except I can’t find a clear motherboard choice and every video I watch seems to talk about how bad the power delivery is on the b350 boards

I had this one for about a month and all was working without issues. Also memory could OC pretty good.

Personally I had no problems with power delivery on B350 motherboards except maybe early release of Gigabyte board. I just see that people spread theories without actual tests. If we listened to what people say around the web then 70% of Ryzen motherboards would be bad. In most cases it's BIOS causing the issues but I understand that better is to ask others than waste money on something that can have some problems.

I used B350 boards from ASRock, Gigabyte and MSI with no problems. All were used to OC Ryzen 5 1600 and/or Ryzen 7 1700 CPUs to 3.9 - 4 GHz with no problems. As Woomack said whatever minor issues I encountered were solved by BIOS updates. No need to overspend.

I have an msi B350m gaming board that runs just fine. I had it originally to run my 1700x while waiting for my asrock x370 board to return from RMA and now it runs a 2400g without any issue.
I overclocked the 1700x slightly on it but haven't really played with the 2400g.

I noticed that board is sold out at newegg, and even Amazon doesn't have any. Has anyone else noticed a higher than usual number of sold out boards in AM4? Are manufacturers still lacking faith in AMD chip sales or are a lot more people buying them than was expected?

Most likely due to the fact that the 400 series will be out soon, vendors are trying to reduce inventory

I see a number of these boards still available on eBay. Here is one without an IO backplate for $72.95

EDIT: Here is one new in box zero bids @ $64.33 -
Only two hours left in the auction but the seller looks good at 100% feedback
