I am looking for a RAID 5 setup that will support at least 300MB/s sequential write and over a 1TB of storage but could always use more. Right now I'm looking at the Areca ARC-1231MLAreca ARC-1231ML with 8x SAMSUNG SpinPoint T Series HD501LJ 500GB. These drives typically get around 65MB/s write. Will this give me the speed I am looking for? Any help would be greatly appreciated since I have never done anything that needs that much bandwith.
