Hello, I am looking for a graphics card hopefully under 80$ that will handle high FPS gameplay on lower demanding games like COD 4.

The best I have found under 80$ was actually for 58$ on amazon:

The GeForce GT 440, which seems like a pretty good card for the price.

The voltage is very low on the 440, which isn't a problem as I have 650 Watt power supply.

Is there any card that is better than the GT 440 for my price?

(P.S. I don't believe Radeons would run at their full potential, because my PCIe slot is 1.00 when 2.1 Radeons, as I have heard, cause trouble with these slots).

Thanks
-Haze

I am seeing used 550Ti's under $80 right now on ebay. Might take a bit of luck to grab one. 460s are going regularly for $60 so you can probably nab one much easier than a 550. This is just ebay by the way. You may be able to look around elsewhere and find an even better deal.

Lowest I could find for 460 was 90$ buy it now. Not to big of a fan of bidding if that was what your were referring to? Thanks though much cheaper prices.

^ Well, check when the bid ends, set your alarm 15 mins before and have a look.

Worth a try, no?

Yeah, I was referring to bidding. Understandable that you are not a big fan. A lot of people aren't (I am so-so with it :p )

Edit: +1 to what manu said. Setting an alarm and just tossing the minimum next bid in is a pretty safe bet.

I am not a big bidder, either, but I made some VEEERRRYYY good deal on ebay!

You should check out newegg open box card. I have seen a lot of GTX 450 and GTX 550 Ti for around $72-$80 included shipping. They usually have open box deal at 6-6:30pm Central time.

I was actually looking at a geforce 9800 for 80$, Which seems better than a 440 in most ways, but idk if it is "outdated."

I just found an openbox 440 2 gb for 58$!
Same Price as the 1 gb :)

The 440 is really weak, and the 2GB won't help on such a card. I don't think it's worth the $58 honestly...

I've looked around a bit, and it seems that a 5770, a 5830 or a 5850 would work on your PCIe 1.0 slot.

You can check these ones.

EDIT: comparison between a 5770 and a440 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/538?vs=610

ok, I found a 5770 for 50$, but the catch is the fan doesn't work.

I'll look around some more.

I found a 5830 for 75 $ (buy it now).
5770's seem to be 90$ at the lowest.
5850's seem to be 120+

I think I may go with the 5830!

Yep, the 5830 is a good card, around 20% faster than a 5770, but need more power.

What kind of PSU do you have?
