Minimum safe fan duty cycle - SpeedFan?

Hi All,

Is there a minimum safe speed (%) to run fans? I heard 40% as recommended.

I'm using SpeedFan to adjust 2 x 180mm and 1 x 140mm case fans, and the 1 x 120mm CPU fan (Raven 2 case and Synthe Mugen CPU cooler).

Currently, I have have them set at 0% until CPU core temps reach 41c, with the fans to start running at 40% (gradually increasing) from that point onward (41c). Is it possible to run them slower without problems? Eg. 20% or 30% minimum speeds always on?

Running it slowly won't hurt the fan, feel free to use any percentage that gives you the cooling results you want.
