Hey guys,

I am thiking about buying a new mobo..well not thinking...I am in the process of buying one...
Can you please recommend me some considering my specs?

I don't need anything special and would like to have a budget of 150 USD. Basically I need the same kind of mother board I have now BUT more suitable for OCing (MOSFET heatspreaders etc)

Thanks

Well I was running a Prime test for 20 minutes on 3,8Ghz 1.4vcore...all was good, temps 52 max but I remembered that someone told me in another thread that I should not be adding vcore too much because it would blew MOSFETS. So I am a bit worried + finger test during primeing I did told me they are running pretty hot...

I was thinking about something like this

He is running a 95W board with a 125W Chip he NEEDS to upgrade.

UD3 board you linked will be okay, just remember you need to get some DDR3 with as well.
1600 mhz and as tight a CAS as you can will be good and might as well go 8GB while you are at it.

the suggestion for 990FX is good if you plan on upgrading to bulldozer/piledriver sometime later. If you have no intention of doing so save the 100+ dollars. 990FX is expensive because it supports SLI.

If you DO plan to go bulldozer/piledriver in the future you can get faster RAM for now and just down clock it and tighten the timings for running on deneb.

I don't really want to upgrade anything after mobo so I think I don't need the 990 just yet. I think

this would be ok for me.

Here are my CPU-Z and HWmonitor details on idle.

Tommorow I am upgrading my RAM to 8gb Kingstons 1333...

Edit : How does Windows 7 behave when you change your mobo ? Will it blend...I mean boot up or do I need to reinstal the whole windows from scratch ?

UPDATE: Just installed the new mobo = all is good even temps dropped by about 4C on idle on stock and stock 1.425 vcore.

Now is time to overclock!

Thanks for the help guys!
