MSI 870-G45 DDR3

Just put together a machine with this motherboard (MSI 870-G45 DDR3) and AMD Phenom II X4 905E 65W cpu.

Small problem,

When I leave the machine and the screen goes blank, it will not recover from stand by. No video after pressing keyboard or moving mouse. Win7 64 machine.

This is actually a friends machine.

Any guesses what the problem might be?

No, but I can tell you that is a very common problem. A lot of us just disable all those power saving options.

Installed the chipset drivers again from msi website. seems to have fixed the problem. Machine now wakes up again after sleep
